Getting the most out of your Evaporative Cooler...
For an evaporative cooler to work effectively, the hot air has to be able to escape out of your home. The best approach is to open windows or doors that are furthest away from the air conditioning vents. The slower the fan speed, the cooler the air will be.
Remember - air flow will take the easiest escape path through the closest most open window or door. You can direct this airflow by controlling the direction of the airflow escape.
During the Winter months heat will escape through the evaporative cooler vents in your ceiling. A quick and easy way to prevent this from happening is to install Heat Savers. These are covers which completely cover your vent and prevent cool air coming down the ducts and warm air escaping up through the vents. For more information see: http://www.heatsavers.com.au
