It is equally important not to take a risk when engaging a serviceperson. The serviceperson must hold a Specialised Class Licence - Gas Servicing - Type A to work on gas appliances and a basic electrical licence, Disconnect/Reconnect Licence as a minimum to change electrical components within the appliance.

Beware carbon monoxide / It's a silent killer / Is your family at risk?

This is an initiative run by Victoria's gas safety regulator, Energy Safe Victoria and the Plumbing Industry Commission.They recommend gas heaters should be tested for carbon monoxide at least every 2 years to keep your family safe.
